Emily Davies

Hello,
I’m Emily, an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (MSc Distinction) with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am also qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). I have over 14 years of therapeutic experience working within the National Health Service (NHS) and private healthcare settings in a range of mental health services, including general psychiatry, addictions, eating disorders, forensics, autism and learning disabilities, cognitive impairments and dementia and specialist rehabilitation.
I have worked within various clinical environments for adults, children and young people and I am skilled to work with a variety of cognitive, sensory, physical and mental health difficulties within a range of therapeutic frameworks. Most recently, I have been working with presentations including depression and anxiety disorders, which include generalised anxiety, social phobia, health anxiety, panic, specific phobias, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and low self-esteem. Alongside my role as a therapist, I also work as a Specialist Mental Health and Well-being Mentor and Workplace Strategy Coach.
I am passionate about the benefits of a genuine and compassionate therapeutic relationship. I will take the time to understand your difficulties to ensure that our time together is tailored to meet your goals and individual needs, underpinned by hope and recovery to make your life better. I encourage a collaborative approach, focusing on kindness and empathy to create a safe and trusting environment to support you to make positive changes to reclaim your life.
